Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing or using the HiveCard Android application ("HiveCard," "the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App. These terms form an agreement between you and midybee, the developer and operator of HiveCard.

2. The service

HiveCard is a mobile application that helps you import credit card statement PDFs, track due dates and balances across multiple cards, manage payments and reminders, and plan monthly spending. All features run on your device. The App does not require a user account. Your card information, statements, and transaction data are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to any remote server. The App does contact remote infrastructure for non-financial purposes: fetching parser configuration updates, validating Premium subscriptions, and (if you opt in) connecting to Gmail to import bank statement emails. 3. Beta program

HiveCard is currently distributed through Google Play's internal and closed testing tracks as part of a private beta program. By participating in the beta, you understand that:

• The App is pre-release software and may contain bugs, parser inaccuracies, or incomplete features
• You are responsible for verifying all computed amounts (balances, due dates, Safe-to-Spend numbers, payment plan suggestions) against your bank's official statements before making financial decisions or payments
• Features may be added, changed, or removed during the beta without prior notice
• Beta builds may be updated or replaced; you should regularly back up your data using the in-app backup feature
• Some features visible in beta builds may require a Premium subscription at launch

4. Not financial advice

HiveCard is a personal organization tool, not a financial advisor, lender, or accountant. Information shown in the App — including Safe-to-Spend amounts, projected cash-out figures, payment plan suggestions, and debt payoff timelines — is generated from data you input or import. You must verify these against your bank's official statements before making payments or financial decisions.

midybee is not responsible for missed payments, finance charges, fees, miscalculations, or financial loss arising from your use of the App, including any errors in PDF parsing or in the assumptions used by computed views.

5. Subscriptions and Premium features

HiveCard offers an optional Premium subscription via Google Play in-app billing. Premium unlocks features such as the Smart Payment Plan, debt payoff timeline scenarios, and priority access to new features as they ship.

• Subscriptions are billed by Google Play under their subscription terms
• You may cancel a subscription at any time via your Google Play subscription settings
• Refunds are handled by Google Play according to Google's refund policy
• Free features remain available regardless of subscription status
• HiveCard does not see or store your payment card or billing details — those are handled entirely by Google Play. To confirm subscription status, HiveCard's servers receive a Google Play purchase token and store your subscription expiry date; no payment card information is involved.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use HiveCard for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Philippine law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code, except as permitted by applicable law
• Attempt to bypass subscription verification, Premium feature gates, or other technical protections
• Use the App to process statements that are not yours or that you do not have authorization to manage
• Submit deliberately falsified or malicious content via the "Help improve the parser" feature
• Connect a Gmail account that you do not own or are not authorized to access, or use the Gmail integration to process emails belonging to another person
• Distribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any of its components

7. Your data and content

All data you create, import, or store within HiveCard remains yours. midybee does not claim ownership of your card information, statements, transactions, or any other content you create in the App.

If you choose to share a parser fingerprint via the "Help improve the parser" feature, you grant midybee a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use the redacted fingerprint solely for the purpose of improving HiveCard's PDF parsing accuracy. Because fingerprints are stripped of all personally identifiable information before they leave your device, this license applies only to structural layout data, not to any personal content. If you choose to connect your Gmail account, you authorize HiveCard to access your Gmail messages solely to locate and download bank statement attachments, subject to Google's OAuth terms. You may revoke this authorization at any time from within the App. HiveCard's use of Google user data is limited to the purpose described in these Terms and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

HiveCard, including its name, logo, design, source code, and all related intellectual property, is owned by midybee and protected by Philippine and international intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on a device you own or control.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

HiveCard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. midybee does not warrant that the App will be error-free, that PDF parsing will be 100% accurate for every statement format, or that the App will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, midybee and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

midybee's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of HiveCard shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid midybee for HiveCard subscriptions in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred Philippine pesos (₱100).

11. Termination

You may stop using HiveCard at any time by uninstalling the App. midybee may suspend or discontinue the App, or any feature or part of it, at any time, with or without notice. Upon discontinuation, your locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and midybee agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of HiveCard shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of the Philippines, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to these terms

midybee may update these Terms as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the Terms were last revised. Material changes will be reflected by updating that date and, where appropriate, by in-app notice. Continued use of HiveCard after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
